Asia Pacific Rally Championship | Powered by Wurth
It’s an exciting time for the Wurth Group.
As a partner of the FIA Asia Pacific Championship since 2013, we have committed to supporting the 2019 championship as it moves to the split Pacific Cup and Asia Cup model, with four-strong events in each part of the region before a full championship finale in China at the end of the year.
The Wurth Group will be attending all eight events that comprise this year’s championship and will be presenting the winners with a cheque for USD$1,000 at each round, as well as supplying trophy cups and product prizes.
“We have a long history of supporting the FIA Asia Pacific Championship and we’re delighted to come on board as naming right sponsors this year,” Wurth Group Head of Marketing, Dieter Muench said.
“We pride ourselves on making quality products and we are delighted to use the premier rally championship in this part of the world to showcase what we do.”
APRC president Vicky Chandhok states “The APRC are delivering eight events of value in an exciting new format. In the past there have only been four or five rallies per season”.
“With the new format there will be multiple championships up for grabs through the FIA APRC Pacific Cup powered by Wurth, the FIA APRC Asia Cup as well as the final at Longyou, China in October.”
So far, the FIA APRC Pacific Cup has seen extraordinary racing at both Rally Otago and International Rally of Whangarei. Rally Tasmania is up next in June and the Eureka Rally is being held in August.
The Asia Cup powered by Wurth begins in June with Rally Montre in Japan before Rally of Medan (Indonesia) in July and Rally Hokkaido (Japan) in September, as well as Rally Longyou (China) in October.
