2017 was a record year for the Wurth Group. Sales in the business year of 2017 amounted to EUR 12.7 billion (up from the previous year of EUR 11.8 billion), which corresponds to a growth of 7.5 percent.
In 2018, the Group expects sales growth in the mid-single-digit range. In accumulated terms, the Wurth Group reported growth of 7.1 percent as of April 2018.
The number of employees also steadily increased by 2,768 from 71,391 to 74,159 in 2017.
As one of the largest direct selling companies in the world, the Wurth Group have in excess of 32,200 employees within its sales force. With E-Business becoming a greater daily focus, over 100 employees were hired in the e-business sector during 2017, emphasising the importance of this new sales channel.
